Firm Overview

Farrington & Thomas, LLC has its beginning as Cornelius, Sartin and Murphy, a law firm founded in the mid 1970s. Bill Farrington and Bob Thomas began their legal careers as associates with Cornelius, Sartin & Murphy in the 1980s. It was there they learned and mastered their knowledge of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. Bill Farrington and Bob Thomas soon became partners in the firm, handling all of the Longshore business.

Upon the deaths of Jack Sartin and Jim Murphy, Cornelius, Sartin and Murphy merged into the new entity, Farrington & Thomas, LLC in 2006. Russell Cornelius stayed on as Of Counsel until his death in March 2014.

Over the past 30 years, our attorneys have become known as experts in the field of Longshore and Workers’ Compensation Law. We have represented over 3,000 injured workers and gotten them the benefits they deserved.
